Sacred Valley Tour
Spend a wonderful day with us. We will visit the colorful market of Pisac, the Inca ruins as well as the Ollantaytambo fortress. You also get to enjoy the amazing views of the valley which used to function as an agricultural, spiritual and political center for the Incas.
Duration – 8am-6pm
Pick up with private transportation from your hotel/hostel at around 8 am to begin with our day tour.
Our first stop in the Sacred Valley of the Incas will be the Mirador of Taray. From here you have the most beautiful view of the Urubamba Valley with crops dressing the mountains like carpets.
Our second stop will be the archaeological site of Pisac, where we can see the biggest Inca cemetery with more than 2000 tombs. You can also admire the incredible farming terraces carved into the mountain, explore the Inca tunnel and the religious area. We spend around 45 mins to explore the area before driving back to town where we get to enjoy the colorful market of Pisac.
After a bit of shopping we continue to Urumbamba where we will have lunch.
The next part of our journey is the town of Ollantaytambo where we explore the archaeological site and admire the water fountains, the Sun Temple and the impressive store houses.
Approximately 1hr later we will head back to visit the colonial church of Chinchero and the Inca remains; here you have the opportunity to buy some hand-made souvenirs.
Our journey comes to an end and we return to Cusco, dropping you off at your hotel/hostel.
